To assist governments in the preparation of their estimates, INCB, together with WHO, developed a practical guide which aims to support competent national authorities in the identification of the actual requirements for internationally controlled drugs to overcome underconsumption and, at the same time, prevent overconsumption.
Assessments of annual medical and scientific requirements for substances listed in Schedules II, III and IV of the 1971 Convention on Psychotropic Substances are published by INCB on a weekly basis to ensure that competent authorities have the most up to date information, which in turn facilitates trade in controlled psychotropics.
